Music Reactive Lights Works on 230V AC

Hello friends today I’m sharing an interesting article about Music reactive lights which works directly on 230V AC supply. Many music reactive circuits are available on internet but direct AC connected circuits are rare and doubt about its working. This circuit and PCB is working perfectly without any issues. I personally tested it on Christmas time for light decoration.

The circuit is designed using BC547 and BC557 general purpose NPN and PNP transistors. The availability of the components is very easy and cheap in rate. This music reactive circuit output is connected to a BT136 Triac to turns ON and OFF 230V AC lights based on the Music rhytum.

An LED is also connected along with the triac, which indicated the condition of output light rhythm. When their is no music detected the circuit turns ON the light and if music detected it changes to music reactive mode.

Power Supply Circuit

The power supply for this circuit is takes from a separate circuit of transformer less power supply. This circuit diagram is given below and it consist of 0.47uf/400V capacitor and some diodes and Resistors to regulated the 230V AC to 12V Dc at the output.

Components required

In normal state the circuit turns ON the connected light. When any music detected through the connected condenser MIC, that time the circuit changes to music reactive mode. If the music stops light dancing stops and Turns ON continuous and waiting for detecting next music. Thanks Bijoyts electo
