How to Use Resistor Color Code Calculator
You can easily find out the value of a resistor using this Resistor calculator tool. To calculate the Resistor color code using this Calculator, first you need to select 4 band or 5 band resistor you want to check using the selection button.
If the selection Four Band option, you'll need to select the colors for the first two digits, the multiplier, and the tolerance to calculate.
For the Five Band option, you need to select the colors for the first three digits, multiplier value and tolerance. Each dropdown menu corresponds to a specific band on the resistor where the colors represent different numbers and multipliers based on the standard resistor color code.
Once you've selected the correct colors for each band click the Calculate button. A progress bar will appear to indicate the calculation process. After it's completed, the resistor's value will be displayed, along with the tolerance range.

FAQ
The resistor color code is a method used to calculates the values of resistance and its tolerance. Each color band represents the specific digit and multiplier values of the resistor. Based on this color combinations you can calculate the resistance and tolerance of the resistor easily.
In 4 band resistor, the first two band represents the first two digits of the resistance value. The third band represents the multiplier and the fourth band is using to calculates the tolerance of the resistor.
The 5 band resistor also works like the 4 band resistor. But in 5 band provides an extra band for a more accurate resistance value. The first three bands indicate the digits and the fourth band is the multiplier value and the fifth band shows the tolerance value of resistor.
The 4-band resistor only requires 4 colored bands to calculates its value. so the 5th band option is not needed. You can enable the 5th band by selecting the 5-band option.
