Tda2030 replacement for amplifier board

Replacement of TDA 2030, the IC is a plastic-packaged 5 pin in pendawatt. It delivers up to 14 watts at 14-28v dc. The guaranteed power output from the IC is 12 watts. Replacement of tda2030 will give you the better performance of the Audio amplifier board or circuit.

The replaceable IC is Tda2050 or LM1815. These two IC build with better quality similar to the tda2030 audio IC. The pin is the same as the two IC. But the only problem is the working voltage. The TDA 2030 IC will provide 14 watts at 14-18 voltage supply. Tda2030 amplifier circuit

But the TDA 2050 and LM 1815 needs more voltage and current for getting the expected power output. If you want to change the IC from 2030 to tda2050 you also need to increase the voltage and current for the power supply. Tda2030 transistor amplifier for more power

Let’s discuss detailed about the two different IC.

Tda2030 vs Tda2050

can i replace tda2030 with tda2050 ? This is the most commonly asked question about these two ic. The answer is yes because the pin configurations of tda2030 and tda2050 are the same. so we can directly choose TDA 2050 ic as an alternative to it.

tda2050 ic

Tda2050 specification

  • supply voltage – max up to 25v
  • Output watts – 22w at ( working perfectly with 4ohm and 8 ohms)
  • distortion at 4ohm 1khz- 0.03
  • protection temperature – 150

Comparing tda2030 with tda2050 at the cost wise 2050 is good, if you want more power go through the 2050 ic. ( note; replacing tda2030 with 2050 also change the power supply )

Lm1875 specification

  • Supply voltage – maximum voltage 30v
  • output power – 20w at 30v THD=1%
  • protection temperature – 150
lm1875 ic

Comparing tda2030 with lm1875. The lm1875 is pretty good. because it having good build quality and better output watts. it’s good for the subwoofer amplifier. it can handle high current.
