The TIP36C comes in TO-247 packaging with three pin legs. This packaging is providing good heat management when aluminum heat sink is attached with it. The pinout configuration and pin description of TIP36C transistor is given below,

  • Pin 1 is Base
  • Pin 2 is Collector. This second pin of TIP36C transistor is connected to metal part the transistor (Back side)
  • Pin 3 is Emitter

2SA1943 – This transistor is used in audio amplifiers, high power circuits and it is the complementary to 2SC5200 NPN Transistor.

MJ2955 – This is a TO-3 package transistor with similar ratings.

BDX54C – This transistor has a lower power rating but can be used in low power required circuits.
