The LM317 is a three-terminal adjustable positive voltage regulator, it can capable of supplying more than 1.5 amperes over an output voltage of 1.25 volt 30v. it is easy to connect to the electronic circuits. furthermore the line and load regulation are better than other voltage regulator ic or transistors.
