AC Wattage Calculator

The AC wattage converter tool is used to convert the AC power into watts using the known values. To use this AC Wattage Calculator tool you need to enter the values of Voltage, Current, and Power Factor into the respective fields. Then, select whether your system is Single Phase or Three Phase using the dropdown menu. After filling in all the required fields click on the Calculate Wattage button to get the power in watts. The result will be displayed below the button and giving you the calculated wattage.

AC Wattage Calculator

Single Phase Power Formula

P = V × I × PF

Where:
P = Power in watts (W)
V= Voltage in volts (V)
I = Current in amperes (A)
PF = Power Factor (dimensionless, between 0 and 1)

Three Phase Power Formula

P = 1.732 × V× I× PF

Where:
P = Power in watts (W)
V = Voltage in volts (V)
I = Current in amperes (A)
PF = Power Factor (dimensionless, between 0 and 1)

Calculation of Wattage

The voltage is 230v, current is 10 ampere and power factor is set to 0.9. Based on this values we are going to find out the wattage in single phase and three phase separately.

Voltage : 230 V
Current: 10 A
Power Factor: 0.9

Single Phase Calculation

For single phase power calculate the wattage using the formula is
P = 230 × 10 × 0.9 = 2070 watts

Three Phase Calculation

For three phase power calculating the wattage using the formula is
P = 1.732 × 230 × 10 × 0.9
P =1.732 × 230 × 10 × 0.9 = 3585.24 watts

Wattage in Single phase and Three phase

Single-phase power: The calculation returns 2070 W.
Three-phase power: The calculation returns 3585.24 W.
