How to Check 2N3773 Transistor using Multimeter

  • Turn the multimer knob to the diode checking mode.
  • Connect Red probe on the base and black probe on the emitter, which will shows the reading between 0.45 to 0.9V.
  • Swap the pins Red probe to Emitter and Black probe to Base then it will show no readings such as open loop (OL).
  • If the short indicating between collector and emitter without base voltage means the transistor is faulty.
