DC to DC Buck Converter Circuit

The MP1484 is an 8-pin IC that converts the DC voltage to DC voltage using a pulse. The IC has an inbuilt mosfet which provides the load current up to 3 Ampere The input voltage range of 4.75 v to 18V DC.  The output current will be 1.8 ampere and the maximum output we will get is around 3A.

The input resistance of the MOSFET is about 85 m ohms. The maximum efficiency is 95%.

The output voltage of the circuit is designed using voltage feedback. A voltage divider circuit is connected to the pinout of SW, and it goes to the pin FB. 

The output voltage is calculated using this formula

V out = 0.925 * R1+R2/R2

The R2 value must be 10K. This value is suggested by the IC manufacturing company. So we can calculate the R1 using this formula.

R1 = 10.81*(Vout -0.0925)
