Features of 6283 IC

  • The power output is based on the input voltage, if you provide a 9V DC supply the IC will produce 2.5 watts at 4 ohms speaker.
  • The input voltage is 12 volts, at that time the output watts will be the maximum of 4.5 watts at a 4 ohms speaker.
  • There is a low popping sound when the amplifier is turned ON.
  • Internal thermal protection.
  • Suitable for portable audio system
  • The operating voltage is between 6 to 12V DC

Circuit Connection

PIN 5 and 7 is the audio input source. A 1uf/16v electrolytic capacitor is connected to the input pin to feed the audio signals from the TV or mobile phone. NF1 and NF2 are the Non-inverting input pins of the IC; it is connected to the ground pin through an 82 ohms resistor and 47 uf electrolytic capacitor. A 9V DC or 12V is provided through the PIN 12 of the IC.

A 2200uf/16 V capacitor is additionally used in the input pin to filter the input DC supply, this capacitor will reduce the Noise and other DC supply issues. An inbuilt thermal protection of the IC will protect from overheating generation. The temperature rises above 175 degrees Celsius it protects by shutting down the process of amplification.

Power Supply

The IC needs only 6V to work, but the recommended input DC voltage is 12. The maximum output will be obtained when we provide a 12V DC supply with 1A current to the IC.

Recommended to use a 1A diode in the input voltage connection to avoid a reverse polarity connection. If you are planning to power the IC from an AC source use a 12 v step down transformer circuit with a DC filtering circuit before connecting to it.
