Oscillator Circuit Using CD4011 NAND Gate IC

The simple oscillator circuit is designed with a common NAND gate IC of CD4011, which can deliver the oscillation frequency of 1.3KHz. This frequency is enough for the siren or warning sound. Are you planning to build a warning sound system or siren system? The perfect choice is IC based electronic circuits because these circuits will works perfect and the life is more comparing with the transistor based electronic oscillators.

The pIn number 1 is connecting to the normal 555 based tone generator circuit and if the logic is low their is no sound, if the logic is high it will generates the sound.

Other CD4011 IC based Projects

You can use an 8 ohms speaker to hear the oscillation sound. The CD4011 IC contains four NAND gates inside of it. The two of them is enough to build this simple oscillator. The major part of the oscillator circuit is feed back loop , The output of the NAND gate is connected to the input pins of the first NAND gate.

Application

  • Generating clock pulsese
  • Timing signal generation
  • Basic waveform generator building
  • Alarm system
